Rest. Relax. Restore.
Reconnect with Yourself.
After many years of burning the candle at both ends, I hit a point where the time off stopped working. My vacation ended and I was still exhausted and unable to function at the level I needed and wanted to. I knew something needed to change. And so, slowly, I learned new habits and practices, I prioritized rest and relaxation, I learned about new ways of being in the world and in my life.
Over time, I changed my life, and am still changing my life. I want to live a vibrant, healthy, abundant life, and I now know that for me, this includes time for deep rest and relaxation, cooking nourishing meals, time for regular healing practices, time in nature, and time for play.
Along the way, certain practices stood out to me as particularly healing. A common thread is a focus on reducing stress as well as grounding and calming my nervous system. These are the practices that I now teach and share, as they have been so important in my life - restorative yoga, sound healing, and Ayurveda.

About My Practice
The foundation of my practice combines restorative practices, supportive movement, and deep relaxation.
I have been practicing yoga for 20 years and am a certified 200 hour mindful yoga teacher through Circle Yoga and am currently undertaking my 500 hour certification through Kripalu. I've completed additional training in teaching restorative yoga with Jillian Pransky at Kripalu, Yoga for Active Aging through YogaWorks, along with numerous other yoga, meditation, and mindfulness trainings which inform my practice and teaching.
I completed my first sound healing training at Thrive Yoga and am currently undertaking a 200 hour course in sound healing to deepen my practice and offerings. In addition, I recently completed a 600hr course in Ayurveda, often called the sister science of yoga, through Shakti School and am now a certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor. An Ayurvedic teaching that very much rings true for me is that the root of disease, or dis-ease, is when we forget our true nature. The teachings and practices of Ayurveda have been deeply healing and supportive for me, and I am honored to share what I have learned.
Yoga, sound healing, and time in nature have been great healers in my life. As a practice of liberation originating in India, yoga is a lifelong practice and I am always learning and unfolding more. In my teaching, I share what has been most restorative and life affirming for me, and am honored to share these practices with you.

Blankets and bolsters and sandbags, oh my! Restorative yoga is a nourishing, meditative practice where the body is supported by props in each pose. Restorative poses are held for several minutes to encourage continued release and deeper levels of relaxation. The purpose is to soften and release the grip and tension that may be present in our bodies, and to feel fully supported and held in each pose. This practice can deeply calm your nervous system and provide a sense of nourishment and ease.

A sound bath is a full-body meditative experience often involving singing bowls, bells, chimes, and other instruments to “bathe” people in vibration and sound. Prior to the sound bath, people will often get comfortable on the ground supported by blankets and props and will lay on the ground for the duration of the sound bath. During the sound bath, I’ll play a variety of instruments meant to calm the nervous system and evoke a deeper sense of ease. Sometimes, a metal sound bowl will be placed on your body (if you’re open to it) and the vibrations from it being sounded resonate deeply throughout your body.

Ayurvedic health coaching starts with an intake process to assess your current state. After completing the intake forms, we will meet to discuss the forms and any initial questions either of us may have. Then, we’ll schedule the first session to do a deep dive into your current state, your dosha, where you may be out of balance, and tried and true holistic practices that will support you in moving back into greater balance and health. Follow-up sessions will support your process to return to greater balance and ease.
